On December 29, 2022, Secretary of State Steve Simon completed his eighth annual 87-County Statewide Tour of Minnesota. Through in-person and virtual visits, Secretary Simon has met with Minnesotans in each of the state’s counties about the work of the Office of the Secretary of State.
“One of the best parts of my job is traveling all around the state to hear directly from people about what’s on their minds,” said Secretary Simon. “They offer insight, feedback, and suggestions. In each meeting, I try to listen and learn. I’ve discovered once again in 2022 that the best ideas come from all over Minnesota.”
While every stop is unique, each includes conversations with county residents from a variety of backgrounds including local and county officials, students, small business owners, voter outreach advocates, domestic violence advocates, faith and labor organizations, farmers, and workers.
